SENIOR ANALYST, RECORD TO REPORT
 
Responsibilities:
Participates in and supports the implementation of process optimization and standardization
Identify inefficiencies in own processes and coordinate closely with Team Members and Performance Expert to be consistent and standard with the rest of AAP markets
Execute UAT on processes handled
Financial Governance
Ensures compliance with general accounting period end routines and reporting policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with Group instructions from MBAG
Ensures compliance with Mercedes-Benz Accounting Manual
Ensures implementation and compliance with audit and internal requirements defined by ICS, GRC, Mercedes-Benz Corporate Audit and KPMG
Ensures compliance of the agreed internal KPI to the team as well as the related monthly reporting to relevant parties i.e. Service management
Primarily responsible for reporting the assigned legal entity's financial statements to Headquarters (MIF Reports):
Gathers information from the accounting systems and those prepared by FS markets
Consolidates all relevant reporting instructions
Prepares financial statement upload (MIF Reports) and performs elimination for MBAG consolidation.
Resolves validation errors related to financial statement upload in the management information factory tool (MIF)
Analyzes reasonability of legal entity's financial statements (Company Data, Business Unit Data, and Product Data) and provide this to FS markets. Performs necessary adjustments, including but not limited to MBAG feedback
Responsible for the delivery of certain month-end tasks, which may include:
Primarily responsible for SAP period maintenance and relevant communication to the business
Prepares and posts month-end regrouping entries for SMART to MIF
Prepares and reviews Intercompany Eliminations and ensures process compliance to the IC golden rule
Prepares month-end reports and reconciliations
Closely coordinates with other teams (P2P, O2C, and FS market) and ensures that all month-end activities are carried out timely and of quality
Qualifications:
Has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting, preferably a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Has knowledge of the entire accounting process, from business transactions to financial statements
Has high level of analytical and problem-solving skills Has good time management skills to meet deadlines
Has effective business (oral and written) communication skills Preferably with business knowledge : (Mercedes-Benz/SSC/Automotive experience/Banking/Financial Institution)
Has sufficient knowledge and skills in using Microsoft (MS) Excel, including other MS office tools i.e. MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
Has basic knowledge of ERP accounting systems, preferably SAP
English language: Speaks and writes business language fluently Local language: Depending on the country, if needed
Process and service-oriented Theoretical knowledge in customer orientation (Ability to meet customer demands without bringing the company into a disadvantage)
Ability for learning accounting tasks.
Ability for teamwork and communication skills with colleagues and supervisor
Communication skills for operational purposes (other SSC areas and the MPCs)

Relevant working experience will be appreciated for higher levels: 2-3 years experience in Accounting/Finance/SSC/Banking/Financial Institution
