Duties and Responsibilities:
• Processing of client transactions using Xero
• Processing of client documents via receipt bank
• Processing of client payroll based on timesheet information provided
• Maintenance of accounting systems as required, e.g. setting up new employees, maintaining chart of accounts
• Maintenance of accounts payable and receivable ledgers as required
• Superannuation reporting as required
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• Preparation of BAS reports
• Ensuring a register of regular tasks and work instructions is maintained
• Predominantly preparation of financial statements and tax returns
• Collate, review and summarise client information
• Identify and act on anomalies in client records
• Contribute to development of improved internal processes
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Accountancy / Accounting
• 3 to 5 years of Australian Tax Accounting experience
• SMSF knowledge
• Experience in preparing and lodging payment summaries and processing payroll
• Experience in preparing Financial Statements, Tax returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS) for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Companies and Trusts
• Experience in key areas of tax Australian Tax legislation including Division 7A, Part 4A, Personal Services Income
• Experience with taxable payments reporting and workers compensation is highly desirable
• Ability to identify tax planning issues and opportunities for clients
• Ability to resolve and investigate issues
• Strong Xero experience
• Proficient in Google Apps and MS Office especially in MS Excel
• Strong business acumen
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• High attention to details
• Able to work autonomously
• Can work with minimal supervision and has initiatives
• Must be willing to work in Clark, Pampanga
