Position Title: Senior Accountant
Salary: 80,000 - 100,000 PHP a month
Reports To: Partner, Partner Advisor
Primary Relationships: Partner Staff
Date: December 2023
Schedule: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PH Time
Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate and disseminate generally accepted Australian tax and accounting principles to a team of accountants
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Australian Taxation System, including Fringe Benefit Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax, and the Australian Corporate Tax system
Utilize the Xero suite of programs to prepare files from data entry through to a referenced trial balance
Develop properly reconciled supporting workpapers leading to the creation of accurate financial statements and tax returns for various client types, such as companies, trusts, partnerships, and individual returns
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
Conduct thorough reviews to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of financial information
Undertake any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Accountants, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
At least 5 years experienced in a role with an Australian Accounting firm using XERO when preparing Financial Statements and Tax returns
Solid experience in handling various client types, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individual returns
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proficient comprehension skills to effectively convey complex financial information
Must have a managerial/supervisory experience
