Scarborough Fine Furniture, Inc. was incorporated on March 14, 1997 with 60-40 joint venture with Filipino-British investors. It has started its commercial operation on July 31, 1997 in Barangan Agus, Mactan Lapu-lapu City, Cebu Philippines.
After two years of commercial operation in Agus, the Filipino investors decided to invest their investment in the company to the British investors. In January 1999, the company transferred its operation to Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City. It has entered into a lease contract with Accrisor Development Corp. for five-year period. With good and high quality products, Scarborough was well known to the furniture industry. It has participated with various furniture shows both local and abroad.
After the contract of lease expired, the company decided to construct its own factory building. After thorough study and evaluation as to the best location of its investment, the company chooses MEPZ2 as the hub of its operation. In May 2004, the company transferred its commercial operation in MEPZ2.
