Job Overview: The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive security framework across Velez Group of Companies. This strategic role ensures the protection of personnel, assets, operations, stakeholders, and facilities by establishing consistent standards and practices across multiple sites.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive Security Management System across Velez group companies and sites.
Design and establish security protocols, safety policies, and risk management procedures tailored to the company's diverse operations.
Conduct a full audit and assessment of current security and safety conditions to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
Standardize security procedures across entities while allowing for site-specific adaptations where necessary.
Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of physical and electronic security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarms).
Create emergency response and disaster preparedness plans; lead regular drills and training sessions.
Collaborate with leadership and key departments to ensure security and safety considerations are integrated into strategic and operational planning.
Lead incident response and post-incident investigations; ensure proper documentation and corrective actions are taken.
Engage with law enforcement, emergency responders, and relevant regulatory bodies as needed.
Monitor performance and legal compliance of third-party security providers and ensure alignment with internal standards.
Produce regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of security and safety programs, incidents, and improvements.
Oversee the third-party security providers service contract.
Perform other duties when needed and report directly to the Vice President for Administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in criminology or a related field, or a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in security services, or former personnel with at least 10 years of service as a commissioned officer and relevant security experience.
Proven experience in developing and implementing security management systems, preferably in a multi-site environment.
Strong knowledge of physical security, emergency response planning, risk assessments, and safety compliance standards.
With experience in handling more than one security agency and multiple sites.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
With demonstrated experience in training and developing teams.
Strong ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies such as the Philippine National Police (PNP) Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other relevant authorities.
Preferably with a BOSH certificate and relevant certificates in security management.
Abilities and willingness to travel across the group's various sites and subsidiaries.
