GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Security Manager serves as the main resource for all security matters of the company. The position closely works with the Property Manager or Office Admin Manager and authorized representatives to resolve any security-related concerns and ensure that all safety and security policies are properly implemented. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates and enforces security policies to protect the organization's assets, employees, and information. Oversees security operations. This includes supervising security personnel, managing security systems, and ensuring that security protocols are followed. Identifies potential security risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Provides security training to employees and creating awareness programs to promote a culture of security within the organization. Develops and implements plans to respond to security incidents, such as breaches, theft, or other emergencies. Oversees the implementation and maintenance of security systems, such as access control, surveillance, and alarm systems. Collaborates with law enforcement and other external agencies to address security concerns and incidents. Ensures that the organization complies with relevant security regulations and standards. Manages the budget for security operations and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to address security needs. Conducts regular risk assessments, preparing security reports, and presenting findings to senior management. Keeps abreast of security trends such as the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices to continually improve the organization's security posture. Develops plans to address security-related crises and ensuring business continuity in the event of security incidents. OTHER TASKS Ensures regulatory compliance of the company Identify potential security manpower/equipment vendors, evaluating their capabilities and make recommendations which vendors to engage with based on criteria such as quality, price, reliability, and service. Monitor the performance of security manpower vendors against predefined key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that they are meeting their obligations and delivering the expected level of service. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Safety and Security Head JOB PROFILE Educational Background Must be a graduate of bachelor's degree in Criminology Professional Background Must have a total of eight (8) years working experience in security management Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience in security management. Must be a Registered Criminologist (RCrim) Must be a licensed Security Practitioner by SOSIA. Must be a Certified Security Professional (CSP) or equivalent Security Industry related certification. At least a certified Safety Officer 2 by DOLE is an advantage. Knowledge Requirements Must have a working knowledge of relevant Philippine laws and regulations pertaining to security and emergency response management. This includes familiarity with Republic Act 11917. Must have a comprehensive understanding of safety and security protocols and practices, including risk assessment, hazard identification, emergency response procedures, fire safety, first aid, and crowd control. Familiarity with security technologies such as closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, access control systems, and alarm systems. Must have in-depth knowledge of investigative techniques, evidence preservation, and report writing to conduct investigations into safety or security incidents as needed. Proven experience in preparing, conducting and reporting investigations and interviews. Skills Requirements Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of security principles and practices. Good presentation skills. Excellent investigation and interview skills. Know how to use Microsoft Office tools Ability Requirements Can work and effectively communicate with a diverse team of different professional backgrounds and broad range of ages. Ability to function as a Team Player and maintain a good working relationship, yet think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Has the ability to work under pressure and in extended working hours. Has the ability to be mobile at short notice.
