The Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Group under the Instrumentation Business Unit at Analog Devices is currently looking for an experienced Test & Design Evaluation Manager located in Cavite, Philippines.
The successful candidate will manage a group of Test Development and Design Evaluation engineers who work closely with the new product development team to characterize and production test a wide range of high speed and precision signal chain products targeted toward ATE applications and platforms.
The managed team will be working as part of project teams comprised of members from disciplines such as marketing, design, product, assembly, quality, wafer foundry and application engineering to bring a product concept to a released mass production solution.
As Test Manager, you will set and define the measurement strategy for our products and develop the team to support the growth plans and skill gaps of the ATE group.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual and fast learner with strong technical, analytical and communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
Development of strategic business and resource planning including hiring and training of engineers and management and coordination of operating and capital expenditure budgets.
Close collaboration with Production Manufacturing to ensure optimized manufacturing flows and delivery, critical for high volume applications, and understanding the problems/limitations and providing solutions for the same.
Work with cross functional teams to develop measurement strategy that meets product requirements.
Lead technical innovation in test and evaluation development work to achieve highly efficient execution aligned to critical customer deadlines. Development of processes and metrics which promote high levels of collaboration and increased engineering efficiency within complex programs.
Play a role in ensuring best process practices are been followed during definition & development, through direct involvement with the Design Team early in the New Product Development.
Responsible for development of schedules, allocation of resources, and project tracking and execution.
Analyze the teams quality of work with the responsibility to give constructive feedback.
May require to travel for training or operational needs (Travel 10%)
Qualifications and other requirements:
BS or MS degree in EE or ECE. Typically requires minimum of 10 years related and progressive experience with semiconductor IC's. Managerial experience would be advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential coupled with good execution track record working in large multi-discipline development teams spanning multiple time zones.
Strong analytical skills. Ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data.
Effective organizational skills and the ability to work to aggressive schedules.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and in particular performing statistical data analysis using Excel or other data tools.
Knowledgeable in analog, mixed signal and digital IC measurement methods. Experience working it a Test Development or Design Evaluation Role in the past would be advantageous.
Positive attitude and proactive / self-motivated / willing to accept responsibility.
