What the role is
The Section Manager oversees the planning, implementation and management of automation projects, and onboarding of Cumulus agencies onto shared services, in order to implement efficient solutions that enhance the delivery of Corporate Shared Services to WOG agencies, and contribute to the development of VITAL as Central Agency for Corporate Shared Services and Robotic & Automation Lead for Corporate Services in the Singapore Public Service.
What you will be working on
• Drive and implement key initiatives for process redesign, improvements, standardisation and streamlining across WOG and inter-agency/VITAL
• Facilitate end-to-end process walk through, gap analysis, data analysis, process mapping and process documentation, using prevailing and emerging technologies, automation tools and new generation solutioning, including Lean Sigma and Design Thinking
• Maintain highly complex RPA scripts and programmes for WOG and inter-agency/VITAL
• Establish and maintain good professional relationships with Agency Partners, vendors, individuals and communities in the Technology eco-system locally and internationally
• Serve as a key business partner to Agency Partners counterparts on the use of technology Collaborate with Subject-Matter-Experts (SMEs) across WOG in process reviews and process improvement initiatives such as information gathering and obtaining feedback on proposed changes for code setup
• Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
What we are looking for
• Strong knowledge of process analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., project management, benchmarking, process mapping, process re-engineering, workflow development, Agile, LEAN and Six Sigma)
• Strong knowledge of statistical concepts, data collection and analysis tools and techniques, and data visualisation tools such as SQL, R, Python, PowerBI or Tableau
• Strong knowledge of automation and workflow solutions (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, K2, SharePoint)
• Good project & stakeholder management skills
• Good vendor management skills, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring and dispute resolution
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good system thinking, solutioning and analytical skills
