CGI provides manufacturers with hazard communication services in support of global chemical regulatory compliance laws. We seek individuals with the ability to work remotely but also interact with CGI's nationwide SDS authoring team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the EH&S domain but new graduates with a solid Science background are encouraged to apply. Your future duties and responsibilities: As part of the Regulatory Solutions Group, the candidate will provide hazard classification and SDS authoring services. The ideal candidate should have experience in EH&S including global chemical regulatory compliance, chemical hazard communication (e.g. Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring), and other related domains. Duties may include but are not limited to: . SDS authoring . Product composition verification, including vendor contact as needed . Dangerous goods classification and/or verification Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Desired qualifications: . Experience with chemical hazard classification and authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) . Ability to utilize and apply the following regulations: OSHA HazCom 2012, TSCA (US), CLP/REACH (EU), WHMIS / HMIRA (Canada), and GHS . Technical writing experience Essential characteristics: . Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills . Ability to work within a technical team . Unwavering attention to detail . Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines . Ability to learn new concepts and software applications quickly . Sharp critical thinking ability . Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel in particular) are required. . Experience with SDS authoring software applications . Dangerous Goods / Transportation Classification Certification . Understanding of other hazard communication and regulatory compliance work processes including chemical inventory, chemical assessment, industrial hygiene, and right-to-know. . Experience in process manufacturing, food contact, retail and consumer goods, or oil and gas industries . Consulting experience Est.
