RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure smooth implementation of Scrum and Agile principles within the scrum team
Responsible to ensure that any roadblocks the scrum team cannot remove themselves until smoothed out
Shield the team to ensure a successful sprint delivery
Promotes Agile ideas beyond his/her own team - “Change-Agent” role
Ensures teams’ continuous improvement in adherence to defined organizational goals.
Coordinate and facilitate Scrum meetings such as daily standup, sprint planning, release planning, retrospective
Coordinate dependencies with external teams and other scrum masters
Promote an empowered, self-management, collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment that fosters ownership creativity, and innovation
Support, educate, engage, and mentor the team members, managers & other stakeholders to follow Agile principles and clear responsibilities they carry
Acts as management contact (e.g. for status)
Ensure team backlog is ready (e.g. groomed), available, and provided by Product Owner before the sprint starts
Organize and facilitate Scrum meetings, record team progress
Create and ensure that the Sprint Burndown Chart is updated on a daily basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience in Release management or application development – 3 years
Experienced Scrum Master – 3 to 4 years
Extensive experience using Scrum and deep understanding of Agile principles practices and values
Excellent soft skills, inter-personal relationships abilities
Familiarity with Azure DevOps is an advantage
Ability to adapt, be flexible, and work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment
Ability to drive clarity of purpose and goals for release and sprint planning
Technical & development skills – an advantage
A Certified Scrum Master
