Description
MVP Asia Pacific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Scrum Master for one of our clients based in US. The company is a leader in the entertainment industry specializing in ticketing for live events.
As the Scrum Master you will be responsible for training and overseeing the development of our agile teams to ensure that our company is able to sell the most tickets in the world.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Document complex technological topics in a way that stakeholders can understand
• Assist product managers with backlog grooming
• Run all agile ceremonies for 2+ agile teams
• Ensure that every sprint is ready to go and stays on track by monitoring accountability metrics
• Collaborate with management to establish key performance indicators and set goals for team
• Think critically and solve business problems. Agile is not a panacea and we need to be solving problems, not sticking to a script
To be successful, you should be:
• A degree holder in Information Technology, Engineering, or any related field.
• 5+ years of experience acting as a scrum master on agile teams
• Certified as a scrum master
• 2+ years working on e-commerce applications
• Experience working as a business analyst and writing requirements
• 2+ years of experience running an agile team
• Expert level knowledge of Jira
• Comfortable with being a leader and helping to establish and refine our processes
• Deep experience running agile ceremonies for teams of 5-10 and you are excited about the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects
• Thoughtful problem-solving: For you, problem-solving starts with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You can decompose tricky problems and work towards a clean solution, by yourself or with teammates. You're comfortable asking for help when you get stuck.
• Ability to scale: You have experience scaling production software team process to support rapid growth, or you're motivated and excited to learn.
• You have strong written communication skills - both short-form (Slack/Email) as well as long-form (product guides, design documents, etc)
• You are a seeker - you are always looking for way to improve yourself
• You enjoy troubleshooting problems for anyone!
• You're a team player: Work isn't a solo endeavor and you enjoy collaborating cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals and learn and grow with others
• You understand agile methodologies and you're good at keeping all of the trains running on time.You take ownership of problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
