SCHOOL NURSE
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides primary health care to students, school personnel, and anyone inside the campus during school days and official school activities (e.g. incidence of injury, illness, allergies, etc.);
Assists the medical doctor or dentist when conducting regular checkups on the students and school personnel;
Does basic checkups and taking of vital signs on students and school personnel (measure heart rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, weight, height, etc.);
Keeps and maintains accurate medical and dental records of students and school personnel.
Keeps and maintains a clean and orderly clinic and inventory of basic medical supplies;
Informs and advises teachers/classroom advisers/school principal on every student with health conditions/issues (e.g. allergies, asthma, diabetes, etc.);
Informs/Advises the school administration of any health advisories/risks/emergencies;
Enforces the observation of health protocols (e.g. wearing face masks, physical distancing, etc.);
Coordinates with the DepEd and LGUs regarding health concerns;
Plans and implements health education activities for the students and school personnel;
Teaches/Promotes safe and healthy living/environment (e.g. personal hygiene, types of food, etc.); 
Proposes/Recommends to the school administration anything that promotes safety and good health to everyone inside the school;
QUALIFICATIONS:
A graduate or has finished a course/degree in Nursing (an RN is an advantage)
Excellent communication (oral and written) and people skills
