Position Title: School Cashier
Department: Finance
Reporting to: Assistant Finance and Accounting Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
Accepts cash, checks or credit cards for payment with their complete details of check and credit card transactions according to established procedure.
Counts money, gives change and issues official receipt for money received.
Balances cash drawer and receipts; documents discrepancies.
Prepare deposit slips and facilitate check/cash collection deposits to the bank.
Conduct daily/monthly updating of all passbooks.
Prepares daily cash collection report summary report.
Organize filing of documents related to collections and deposits.
Maintains treasury / cashier's file confidential at all times.
Inform parents and students regarding bounced checks / insufficient bank balance.
Assist in the filing of check vouchers, journal vouchers and other finance documents.
Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
