Sales Officer Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized sales officer to increase company sales, responsible for managing accounts, ensuring customers are satisfied, and generate new sales opportunities.
To ensure success as a sales officer, you should be sales-driven and customer oriented and exhibit extensive knowledge of hardware and construction materials and demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
Develop plans to acquire new customers, through direct sales techniques, telemarketing, and business-to-business marketing visits.
Build lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on purchases and suggest purchase options.
Calling potential customers to explain company products and encourage purchases.
Developing in-depth knowledge of company products.
Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
Maintaining an accurate record of all sales, scheduled customer appointments, and customer complaints.
Meet all sales quotas and goals
Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
Submit monthly sales report.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing or similar preferred.
2 to 4 years experience in the sales industry.
Knowledgeable in Hardware and Construction materials.
Extensive budgeting and reporting experience.
Ability to solve problems.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
