Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for a proactive Sales Assistant (New Accounts - Cebu City Branch)
Your role:
Responsible for processing all transactions within his/her area of responsibility on a timely and efficient basis in accordance with established bank policies and procedures and authorized limits, specifically to:
Orient prospective clients on and respond to their queries on the features of Bank products and services (e.g. rates, charges, terms and conditions, etc.).
Process account openings/placements, rollovers/renewals, termination/pre-termination of placements, masterfile maintenance, and enrolment to various financial services (e.g. debit bills payment, etc.). At end of day, print and review related reports prior to submission to the Sales Head or Branch Head as the case may be.
Process Trust and Treasury products and other term placements in accordance with the bank's policies and procedures. At end of day, print and review related reports prior to submission to the Sales Head or Branch Head as the case may be.
Process the issuance, replacement, cancellation of manager's/gift check/demand drafts; replacement of lost ATM/debit card and lost/filled passbooks; releasing of bank statements; etc. in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
Process issuance/reorder of check books and MC/GC/DD.
Encode MC/GC issuances/negotiations in MC/GC System.
Process sale of Traveller's Checks; telegraphic transfer applications; SDB transactions; etc.
Create domestic bills purchased (DBP) facility in the automated BP System subsequent to review/approval by the Branch Manager or designated alternate officer.
Process and validate payments in accordance with the existing policy for ancillary services in the Saveplus System such as (and other services that may be developed thereafter):
Safety Deposit Box -rentals, deposits for keys, cost of forced-opening.
Service charges - applications for MCs/GCs/DDs; out-of-town checks; FX currency collection items, telegraphic transfers, traveller's checks
Payments for replacement of lost ATM cards/passbook
Cost of check books
Payments for Bank Certification of Deposits
Ensure the correctness and completeness of his or her own transactions posted in the bank's automated system.
Maintain and safekeep "working" supply of money in the assigned cash box (as specified in the bank policy on the subject) and transfer any excess cash (beyond the authorized cash holding level) to the Service Head.
Process the following activities thru the automated system in accordance with the existing policy:
Change in customer/account name and address
Addition/deletion of account holders to a joint account with approval of the Service Officer
Other amendments to CASA or customer information masterfile with approval of the Service Officer
Bank-initiated closing of account(s)
Process merchant payments and cash advance transactions of international cardholders (excluding payouts).
Process remittance transactions (excluding payout) in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
Prepare Official (or Provisional) Receipt for transactions requiring the issuance of such.
Process depositor's request for "Bank Certification of Deposits" and prepare the letter (in the standard format) for the approval/signature of Branch Head and other authorized branch officer.
Handle clients' queries regarding/requests for Bank Statements and release of Bank Statements (for pick-up).
Printing of client's SOA every month end.
Verify completeness of all negotiated checks included on client's Bank Statement.
Send "Thank you" letters to clients in the manner and format specified in the bank's policies and procedures.
Prepare booking/posting tickets for transactions requiring manual entries (i.e. not auto-generated).
Encode post-dated checks in PDC Stand-alone (automated) System.
Prepare required manual reports (abstract of payments) on payments received for miscellaneous and ancillary services/activities of the branch, e.g. SSS, Philhealth, BIR, etc.
Ensure the updating of clients' signature cards on mandated cut-off periods and submit reports to the Sales Head on signature cards due for updating.
Attend to and resolve promptly clients' queries about and/or presented problems concerning their accounts with the branch. Refer to an officer for proper resolution any issues beyond his/her (NAC's) authority to handle.
Maintain and safekeep working supply of accountable forms issued him/her regularly used.
When designated by bank policy, perform the following activities:
Callback/review embossed ATM cards against the list/report/printout accompanying deliveries of ATM embossed cards. Report immediately any discrepancy noted to the Service Officer for action/disposition.
Check the correctness of validation (by other tellers or another NAC)on the posting media against the source documents.
Perform required uploading of the data/files to the bank's automated system on the specified cut-off times of the day.
Conduct monthly surprise piece count of cash in vault (as designated "independent" staff).
Ensure confidentiality of own password to all assigned systems.
Photocopy/scan all posting media prior to submission to other units of the bank for further processing and/or safekeeping.
Maintain a systematic and orderly filing of documents, forms, statements, reports, etc. for easy culling and retrieval.
Give recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained in his/her area of the branch premises to protect the bank's image.
Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, in any field.
With good personality and above average communication skills
Computer literate
At least 1 year of branch banking experience
