HPOI Corporation, a company engaged in manufacturing of high precision plastic optical lenses and an affiliate of Optoflux GmbH, a company based in Nuremberg, Germany, is expanding its market in automotive, medical, lighting and sensor technology. 
 
We are currently looking for a Safety Officer
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
 
Actively participate in environment, health & safety activities so as to effectively contribute in providing a secure, safe and healthful work environment.
Investigate and report serious accident, incident, & repeated hazards to determine causes & makes recommendations when necessary in order to improve safety standard on the workplace.
Conduct Safety Orientation to newly-hired employees.
Maintain communications with the Manager to arrange safety training and issues relevant training certificate
Follow and maintain company standards
Advise all personnel regarding safe regarding safe working practices and to develop safety consciousness.
Responsible for the safekeeping and filing of EHS documents.
Ensures that all personnel fully understand and accept all aspects and factors of the Company EHS policies, rules, and regulations.
Ensures awareness to all personnel the systems of Fire Prevention, First Aide, Evacuation Methods, and other EHS Procedures.
Responsible in the coordination of internal/external communications within the organization and interested party with regards to environmental, health and safety issue(s).
Performs Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment per department in coordination with the department heads and oversees reviews and suggests to department heads on Risk Control programs and initiatives.
Submit reports as required by government –DENR, DOLE,ERC, others.
Can formulate and implement Safety Training Programs
Initiate monthly EHS Meeting
Conduct Safety Audit and Risk Assessment.
 
Special Training/Skills:
Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations, programs, and issues, including ISO 14001 requirements.
Knowledge of OSHAS 18001
Knowledge of Safety yellow book.
Strong record keeping and project management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers
With Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) training course by DOLE accredited training institution
High Sense of Responsibility
Self-motivated and work effectively in team or individual situations
Highly Analytical and Competent
Ability to manage sensitive department and employee information in a confidential manner
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master's degree/ in Engineering or any related field
Consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
With more than 2 years of relevant experience
Must have BOSH training course by DOLE accredited training institution
