JEA STEEL INDUSTRIES, INC.
We are in need of the following personnel:
 
SAFETY OFFICER / PCO / QUALITY CONTROL
 
Responsibilities:
Review existing safety policies and update them where necessary
Supervise the installation of potentially harmful equipment and the disposal of hazardous substances
Stop the continuation of processes that are deemed harmful to the health of workers
Determine manpower, equipment & raw materials needed to cover productin demand
Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Assign workers & other staff to particular production operations
Carry out or organize important safety-related training within the company or organization
Conduct an assessment of possible risks and ensure that preventive measures are taken
Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.,)
Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time & within budget
Schedule shift according to production needs
Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
Prepare and submit status and performance reports
Must have the relevant safety management certification that is required to work as a safety officer
Keep paperwork organized and collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
Requirements:
Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Safety Management or in any other related field
With at least 1-2 years experience in manufacturing firm
Familiar in production planning, materials and control
Must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Good interpersonal skills and can work effectively with people of different levels
