Basic Qualifications:
• Graduate of any BS Engineering course.
• Must be an accredited safety practitioner by DOLE and Pollution Control Officer from DENR.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications.
• With good interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer for a high-rise building project.
• Knowledgeable of all safety requirements for high rise building construction.
Safety Officer will be responsible for the following:
• Inspects worksites and reports conditions and practices not in compliance with Occupational Safety and
• Health Standards and project safety plan.
• Observes operation and activities and reports unsafe acts and behaviors.
• Investigates accidents, near misses, and safety-related events.
• Identifies project hazards from analyses of accident reports and hazard reports.
• Make a hazard analysis of work methods and procedures.
• Acts as secretary of the Health & Safety Committee by recording hazards and safety concerns being discussed in committee meetings.
• Evaluates risks of recognized hazards to determine priorities of corrective actions and levels of concern.
• Communicates promptly high-level risks to concerned parties.
• Reviews corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety standards and recommends revisions or improvements as called for.
• Conducts safety training (orientation, PPE emergency response, etc).
• Verifies and reports the status of action items from inspection reports, observation reports, accident investigation reports, hazard analysis reports, safety committee minutes, safety reports, and other safety-related reports.
• Periodically provides meaningful safety statistics and safety performance measurements.
• Other matters as instructed by the Health & Safety Head.
