To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for an experienced Safety Officer 3 / OHS Practitioner to support our existing OHS management team, and maintain and improve our compliance, work safety, and environmental management culture.
 
Job Description
Support the company's occupational health and safety (OHS) initiatives and ensure full compliance to government and internal regulations.
Drive behavioral change and continuous improvement by implementing the company's OHS management system and improvement programs.
Conduct safety risk analyses. Actively suggest and implement reasonable actions to reduce risks. Ensure defined actions are implemented and followed.
Conduct safety walks and technical inspections to identify risks, evaluate reported risks, investigate and report on incidents.
Plan and execute OHS continuous improvement projects to increase compliance, improve our safety management, and reduce safety hazards.
Plan and implement an all employee safety training plan as required by law and internal regulations. Conduct regular safety talks.
Raise the overall awareness at all levels for OHS-related and relevant topics.
Look beyond current legal and internal OHS requirements and proactively suggest and implement improvements.
Document and maintain records of all OHS-relevant activities.
Analyze records and report on performance of government regulations, KPIs, and company environmental and safety objectives.
Supervise and guide our safety officers (SO), be a member the EHS committee and emergency response team (ERT).
Conduct and support internal and external OHS audits.
Qualifications and experience
Experienced safety practitioner with SO3 accreditation, preferably with PCO experience.
Multiple years of experience working and improving OHS-related topics in a mid-sized manufacturing business.
Significant knowledge in risk analyzing techniques, root cause analysis, and how to derive and define meaningful actions to reduce risks.
Natural authority to ensure actions are implemented and followed.
Proactive attitude, willingness for change and improvement.
Proven leadership in maintaining and improving an OHS program.
Familiar with OHS-related statutory and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and especially ISO 45001.
Engineering graduate (ME, EE, CE) or similar relevant training.
Certified as BOSH, LCM, First aider, TOT, HIRAC etc.
