Safety Engineer -cebu baseHIGHPOINT PROPERTY VENTURES IND. CORP.

Responsibilities:
Advises management on all aspects and changes in statutory safety requirements and proposes safety measures that help reduce accident rates.
Inspects and audits all site operations to monitor compliance with all statutory regulations as well as safety program.
Monitors safety condition of the project site and issues warning letters to project staff in case of non-compliance or unsatisfactory safety performance. Issues "work stoppage notice" through the Installation Manager for projects of poor performance and upon recognition of imminent danger for immediate correction.
Monitors and compiles accident statistics based from accident frequency, type and trends. Investigates all major accidents occurring within the project site.
Provides safety recommendations after conducting analysis and investigation on site accidents. Promotes the safe execution of work in the project site and provides safety orientation training and briefing for new installers.
Prepares and submits monthly report to the Operation Manager/Project Manager.
Coordinates with appropriate representatives of Government or other authorities on safety programs, rules and regulations.
Requirements:
Graduate of BS Civil Engineering
Must have Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training (BOSH) and Construction Safety Training (COSH) Certificates.
Must have at least two (2) years of related experience in construction industry.
Must be proficient in both oral and written communication.
Can relate effectively to all types of people in the organization and with strong leadership potential.
Capable of teaching and training people.
Must possess a pleasant personality and of good moral character.
