The Safety and Security Manager is responsible for maintaining law and order and ensures safe and crime free environment within
the Hotel and its premises; safeguards customers, employees, and assets of the Hotel against fire and other hazard by implementing
all applicable security methods and procedures and ensuring the compliance of all concerned.

PLANNING
Generate plans on creating and preserving environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected
Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
LEADING
Coordinate staffs when responding to emergencies and alarms
Assist the Chief Engineer in establishing and maintaining procedures to ensure that specific actions will take place in the event of an emergency.
Ensure that security programs/procedures are in place in order to address most expected circumstances in the event of an emergency situation.
ORGANIZING
Organize and oversee security operations of the hotel
Develop and implement security policies and procedures to maintain security standards
Create reports for management on security status
Act as liaison between hotel and any governmental agencies such as police, fire and any safety regulatory bodies.
Establish and maintain policy for spot checks of employees carrying parcels when departing hotel property to ensure only employee personal property is leaving
CONTROLLING
Controls budget for security operations and monitor expenses
Review reports on incidents and breaches
Investigate and resolve issues
Maintain control of departmental keys in order to ensure that only the assigned/authorized personnel have access to critical areas/operations.
Control access to critical areas where the need for access arises outside of normal operating hours for that area.
SERVICE DELIVERY/CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Maintain a high level of general concern for workplace safety, amongst all hotel staff through implementation of various policies and procedures.
• Maintains high standard of security service to guests and employees.
• Ensures all security/safety related occurrences, information, etc., which comes/happens in the course of duty are immediately handled and reported to the General Manager for necessary handling and processing.
• Ensures harmonious relationship with other Hotel employees while handling both guest and staff security and safety needs.
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
• Ensure the effective hiring, training and role development of team members.
• Provides guidance and direction to team members, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Sets goals and expectations for team members using the performance review process and holds them accountable for successful performance.
