The Role
Codingchiefs is looking for an experienced technical team lead to help us grow and lead a web development team for one of our clients in the Netherlands. The candidate should have a strong technical background and proven experience in ruby on rails development. You will be responsible for the daily management of the development team, quality of code, assisting in setting up development processes, organisation and environments. You will assist the recruitment team in finding and hiring the right talents and are expected to lead and assist junior team members where needed. In this role you will be coding actively as well.
We're looking for someone with true passion for programming. In CodingChiefs, you will be joining a team of exceptional developers working in a fast-paced environment and will work on world class software systems.
The Duties and responsibilities:
Manage and lead the development team in the Philippines
Assist recruiters in finding, identifying, and hiring top talents
Assist in setting up of the development organisations, processes, and environments
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
The Ideal Candidate
10+ years of experience in software/web development
3+ years of Ruby on Rails development
Sound knowledge of object-oriented design and analysis
Experienced with all parts of the stack: frontend, backend, data, & infrastructure
Proven experience in the use of the following technologies:
Primary languages: Ruby, ERB, JavaScript
Frameworks: Rails (v6), RSpec, jQuery, Bootstrap
Other: GraphQL, Postgresql, Redis, Sidekiq
Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
A strong passion for writing simple, clean and efficient code
An analytical mind in addition to a problem-solving attitude
Ability to take quick decisions while working independently
At least a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields
