We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to be a part of our development team. You will primarily be part of the web development team, working on our web app and API.
Here are a few items about our development process, and our expectations:
We want you to put significant thought and care in the code you write. This is not a junior role so we are looking for atleast a few years of experience writing code, ideally for apps in production.
CI/CD policy - we work in 2 week iterations with continuous deployment, except Fridays (we want you to take the weekend to relax, not worry about a Friday deploy).
We write tests for all our code. We're dealing with people's hard-earned money, our code quality needs to reflect that.
Everyone's responsible for proper QAing before their code hits production.
You will be expected to review your peer's code. No code goes to production without a review from atleast another peer.
We have a very data-driven approach to developing software, so you may have to get your hands dirty with some SQL querying once in a while.
You may be brought in to help out with a few non-Rails backend services (Haskell) and/or mobile app (React Native)

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in related field
Proven work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer
Proven work experience in software development
Experience developing highly interactive applications
Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
Terraform for AWS infrastructure, Ansible, Cryptography, Security
Cryptocurrency knowledge would be an asset (although to be fair, it's 2020 and we're sure your mom's already asked you about this Bitcoin thing)
