RISK, SUSTAINABILITY, CSR AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICER

Duties and Responsbilities:
 
Primary Duties
Risk Management
Designing and implementing an overall risk management proces for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur.
Performing a risk assessment: Analysing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company
Performing a risk evaluation: Evaluating the company’s previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements.
Establishing the level of risk the company is willing to take
Preparing risk management and insurance budgets
Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience. (Educating the team about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks)
Explaining the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders
Creating business continuity plans to limit risks
Implementing health and safety measures
Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals
Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company
Coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors with purchasing for the flawless execution of projects.
Project Management
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project (with purchasing)
Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with the team as well as other staff members
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Engineering, Project Management
At least three (3) years experience in the related field
Excellent quantitative/qualitative and analytical skill, along with the ability to apply these skills across the Business Unit
Planning and organisational skills
Ability to understand broader business  issues
Communication and presentation skills
Tracking budgets, coaching supervision
Process improvement, planning and inventory control
