Job Responsibilities:
As the Retail Technical Security Supervisor of the Philippines Alarm Monitoring and Operations Center you will be a key figure within the management framework of the GS Technical Security team, providing direct support to North America and reporting functionally to the US based global Alarm Monitoring Center Manager with local reporting to the VP for Technical Security. You will be responsible for day to day management of a team of approximately 20 technical security employees who will provide direct support to North America retail technical security, retail alarm monitoring and retail video operations and programs.
This is a role for a skilled people manager who is equally comfortable working in the details to learn the operations and what each role does as well as managing people and process. A wide variety of strengths and capabilities are needed, including:
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders onshore and offshore across global security, technology, and with the local Philippines leadership to cultivate support for the design, build, staffing, and operationalization of a team providing direct support to North America retail security operations
Within the framework of a strategic work augmentation initiative, your initial responsibility will include direct management of retail alarm monitoring, PINs (retail branch space access issuance) and retail video support teams
Manage all aspects of the 24/7 operations of an Alarm Monitoring Center, PINs and Support team across multiple shifts ensuring coverage and support for all team members along with the team lead assigned to this team
Responsible for participating in recruitment and selection of resources to support operational demands and ensure correct staffing levels are always maintained. Carry out on site training for all staff, to include new member training, new systems training, and refresher training.
Actively coach, develop and mentor staff to drive results and achievement of team metrics, SLAs and KPIs. Create development plans and deliver/monitor corrective action, as appropriate
Demonstrate sound judgement; determine when to escalate personnel, technology, or process concerns and partner closely with functional managers onshore
Ensure alarms are responded to timely and within SLA's at all times
Organizational management including strategic planning, budgeting, process improvements, and reporting for key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
Previous management experience in a similar role required
Excellent communication (both written and oral) and organizational skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience leading and developing a team in a fast paced environment
Ability to prioritize workload within a busy, changing environment and meet tight deadlines
Working knowledge of security technologies and devices such as alarm systems and video products
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Use of discretion in confidential matters
Ability to communicate technology and security concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, to include the ability to articulate the value of security controls in a retail environment
Intelligent, articulate, and persuasive leader who can serve as a senior leader within the technical security team
Extensive knowledge of controls (physical, logical) to include experience working in a highly regulated environment
