QUALIFICATIONS
Female
Graduate of BS Repiratory Theraphy
Licensed Respiratory Therapist
With or without experience
With good interpersonal skills
FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs diagnostic procedures, conduct medical tests, experiment and analysis to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
1. Responsible for the orderly flow of patients and the proper usage of the equipments, materials and supplies.
2. Responsible for the recording, evaluation of the precision and accuracy of the methods utilized in the department.
3. Perform diagnostic procedures in the different sections of Cardio - Pulmonary Department such as but not limited to:
- Aerosol Therapy/Nebulization
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Pulmonary Function test (PFT)
- Arterial Blood Gas (ABG)
- Chest Physio Therapy (CPT)
- Incentive Spirometry (IS)
- Breathing Exercise
- Peak Flow
4. Administer treatment to patients provided that prescription/treatment from or request for treatment from physician is presented by the patient.
5. Responsible for preparing ECG tracing for the interpretation of Cardiologist and extracting blood for ABG.
6. Responsible for the maintenance of good quality control of examinations performed.
7. Responsible for the receiving, labeling, organizing and dispatching the results if the diagnostic procedure.
8. Directly responsible in complying with the hospital and department's protocols, policies and standard operating procedures.
9. Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, supervision, recording and maintenance of an updates inventory, stock cards, sales, issuances, logbook and other records of the department.
10. Prepares and maintains records ad files as directed.
11. Responsible for the maintenance and safekeeping of the equipments, inventory, stock and other supplies periodically determine the stock needed, assure the use of stock before expiration date and proper condition of storing, securing ad accounting of its inventory.
12. Responsible for the maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness on the department at all times.
13. Assist in the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures of the Cardio - Pulmonary Department in accordance with the policies of the hospital and Department of Health.
14. Be courteous and polite to all patients at all times.
