QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Respiratory Therapy
Licensed Respiratory Therapist is an advantage
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Willing to work on shifting hours
With or without experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs respiratory therapy procedures both diagnostic and therapeutic, renders appropriate treatment, care and management of patients with respiratory, sleep and snoring disorders.
Review patient records for relevant medical history and Physician's order prior to administering treatment.
Performs patient assessment, prioritizes therapy and recommends changes in therapy, if indicated.
Communicates patient information to relevant parties and updates patient records with timely, accurate, and complete information.
Administers aerosol therapy, postural drainage, percussion therapy, breathing exercises, and pulse oximetry.
Performs arterial punctures and blood gas analysis, and assisting in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Sets up and monitors continuous ventilators, continuous oxygen, aerosol and humidity therapy.
Assists in the cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging of equipment, as needed.
Performs necessary preventive maintenance on respiratory therapy equipment.
Identifies and reports faulty equipment and conduct minor repairs and troubleshoots equipment, as needed.
Adheres to department attendance and time clock standard by subitting a monthly itinerary report as attendance and must be sent to PNEUMOVENT's email address.
Adheres to department in-service and educational standards.
Demonstrates commitment to the service vision and mission of the Hospital.
Demonstrates knowledge of department Policy and Procedure Manual.
Maintains clinical competencies specific to area of main responsibility.
Participates in the department QA plan. Follows hospital safety and infection control procedures. Follows established standards during emergency situations.
Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be delegated by immediate superior from time to time.

Minimum education level: Bachelor ́s Degree
