RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for leading and managing the resource mobilization (fundraising - donors, partnerships, sponsorships, grants, etc) and donor management efforts so that they are strategically-aligned and efficiently matched with organization's operational needs, thereby effectively contributing to the financial sustainability for the projects, programs, and the organization as a whole.
Leadership and Management:
RESOURCE MOBILIZATION TARGETS
CROWD SOURCING
Develop the department's strategies and action plans to achieve within agreed timeline the goals and targets for various fund sources and territories, ensuring alignment to overall AFI goals and objectives. Design, lead, and manage the policies and workflows to standardize and improve/enhance the practices on AFI's resource mobilization & donor management initiatives
Ensure that potential donors/fund sources/partners are assessed and tapped as appropriate, and donor relationships are built and managed properly to gain possible partnerships/donations/grants
Lead and manage the units under Resource Mobilization & Donor Management making them accountable for delivering on fundraising targets, donor engagements, and commitments.
Design, lead, and manage a culture of accountability and trust within the division, enabling them to build professional and productive inter-division/inter-department relationships for the achievement of the organization's goals
Manage the alignment with Finance to institutionalize processes and policies to ensure that project funds are managed properly and in accordance with regulations of both fund source and regulatory bodies, and are sourced to support sustainability of the projects and overall AFI operations
Ensure that the team develops a deep understanding of AFI's advocacies, programs, and projects in order to best determine the project/program selling propositions and funding requirements
Continuously explore and develop new fundraising/resource mobilization strategies based on organization's needs, industry trends, and global best practices
Ensure coordination with AFI International to ensure alignment and synchronization of resource mobilization campaigns in territories outside the Philippines
Performance and Development Management:
Ensure progress versus targets and objectives are well-monitored, and appropriately recalibrate strategies when needed
Assess performance results and areas for improvement of units/departments under the division
Recommend/undertake appropriate development programs or activities such as classroom training, mentorship, coaching, and development assignments
Oversee Department's performance planning, monitoring, and evaluation
Fosters a learning culture in the team/department
Group Representation
Lead and manage the department's activities in building & enhancing relationships and work collaborations and coordination with other AFI operating units and ABS-CBN Corporation on Resource Mobilization & Donor Management concerns
Attend and represent the Department in AFI Mancom and Board Meetings, as well as meetings with external stakeholders
Represent AFI or the Managing Director in official gatherings or events, if needed
Miscellaneous/Other Activities
Perform other management tasks/functions as may be directed by the Managing Director.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE
Understanding of interdisciplinary processes in a non-profit setting
Deep understanding of Marketing, Fundraising, and Donor Management principles
Knowledge of the various fund sources and networks available for non-profits
Knowledge of and familiarity with sustainable development goals and social impact accounting
EXPERIENCE/Educational Attainment Required
Proven experience in leading and managing interdisciplinary teams
At least 15 years of relevant working experience, at least 10 years of which are in fundraising/partnerships for non-profits
