Further information on BASF in the Philippines is available at www.basf.com/ph. Main Tasks: Assist in the conduct of screenings for early phase insecticide compounds. Develop new and efficient screening method that would improve the current screening platform together with the insecticide research team. Ensure sufficient and steady supply of test insects/host plants to use when needed in coordination with the farm operations (FO) and insectary teams. Supervise and mentor Laboratory Technician and the Laboratory Aid assigned in the CTI Screening Laboratory. Support in the maintenance of good housekeeping at ARS Bay Laguna by ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in the workplace. Ensure that monthly reports are submitted to the line manager on time. Ensure that proper PPE's are observed during the conduct of the experiments. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. Agriculture graduate preferably major in Entomology; passed the board examination for professional Agriculturist With basic knowledge and understanding of the life cycle and behavior of insects; types and actions of insecticides, insecticide toxicology and physiology research. Knowledgeable of Good Agricultural Practice. Preferably With experienced in insecticide research under laboratory and field conditions. Critical analysis and interpretation of experiment results. Basic knowledge and understanding of agricultural statistics. With good analytical and problem solving skills. Has good organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and ability to multitask and prioritize work. Expresses self well in English both orally and in writing. Proficient in Windows and MS Office Applications. Demonstrate high level of energy and maintain stable performance under pressure. Demonstrate leadership, professionalism and integrity at work. Proactive, can work independently and in teams. Willing to work on a 1-year contract.
