Main Tasks: Develop the most suitable mass rearing procedure for the rice leaffolder (Cnaphalacrosis meidnalis) under laboratory conditions in collaboration with the Research Scientist. Ensure that the necessary work instruction (WI) is completed and approved by the Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist after the effective mass rearing technique is identified for the rice leaffolder. Support the maintenance of good housekeeping at ARS Bay Laguna by ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in the workplace. Follows safety and security regulations and procedure of the company. Perform other tasks that maybe assigned by the line manager from time to time. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. Agriculture graduate preferably major in Entomology; passed the board examination for professional Agriculturist. With basic knowledge and understanding of the life cycle, behavior and mass propagation of insects pests. With good analytical and problem solving skills. Has good organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and ability to multitask and prioritize work. Expresses self well in English both orally and in writing. Proficient in Windows and MS Office Applications. Demonstrate high level of energy and maintain stable performance under pressure. Demonstrates leadership, professionalism and integrity at work. Proactive, can work independently and in teams. Willing to work on a 1-year contract.
