Description
1. Develop new product recipe or match existing competitor products and submit results to General Manager/R&D Manager for evaluation.
2. Sourcing of new raw ingredients equipment or machineries for R&D project.
3. Leads in conceptualizing new products for food exhibits.
4. In-charge of the product development projects initiated by a request from the Sales Department.
5. Prepares sample request by client.
6. Will do researching and improve current products, develop new products and expansion of product ranges to meet the Company's target within the time frame.
7. Works with outside supplier for alternate ingredients and process that could benefit the product either through quality improvement or cost reduction.
8. Selects and evaluates products from suppliers and work with them regarding trends, product ideas and quality issues.
9. Conducts client production presentation.
10. Facilitates transition of new products from laboratory to production through batch trial run.
11. Analyze current procedures and data and constantly looks for more effective and efficient way of doing things.
12. Prepares prototype product samples for submission to prospective customers for evaluation and approval.
13. Establishes and documents product specifications and process.
14. Works closely with production, purchasing and quality assurance in a team environment.
15. Brief and trains Sales Team about products.
16. Performs other duties and responsibilities that maybe required of from time to time by the immediate superior/department and/or the management.
