Based in Cebu and reporting to the IT Audit Manager, Internal Controls Assurance, this role will support the BAU and Ad-Hoc reporting needs of the Internal Control Assurance team, preparing reports for use across QBE Global Finance, including CFO and Board level reporting. This role will be responsible for implementing reporting improvements and standardization across the function.
This role will involve the design and development of reporting tools that are published across the organisation, including management and maintenance of control and issue databases. This will require analytical and technical skills, in addition to a keen ability to determine standards for business reporting and maintaining data integrity.
This role also has a dotted (matrix) reporting line into the Global Head of Financial Control Assurance.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
Active understanding of QBE
Act as a subject matter expert within the Internal Control Assurance team for our risk management (Insight) and controls testing (Wdesk) platforms.
Monitor timely completion of control testing procedures across the team and ensure timely escalation and reporting of issues/observations to the business.
Support the team in their use of the available risk management and control testing systems and the enhancement of system functionality in line with the team's long-term objectives.
Assist the team with their status reporting packs and presentations to the finance teams.
Key Performance Indicators
Positive feedback from GSSC stakeholders, finance department control owners and from GIA audit teams
Stakeholder feedback sought and acted upon.
Effective monitoring of Global Finance issues and remediations.
Mastery of Wdesk and Insight platforms.

Identify and propose improvements to the reporting templates and own the end-to-end report preparation process.
Effective and efficient management of resources and time.

Data gathering is streamlined and maintained with minimal to no manual inputs
Improvement in the quality and consistency of ICA reports.

Technical Performance
Make judgements on the effectiveness of existing reports and suggest improvements.
Examine reports and related documentation, and demonstrate an attention to detail, to ensure achievement of business objectives.
Deliver all scheduled reporting requirements on time.
Ensure adequate information is being obtained by the team to effectively raise issues on Insight and adhere to the Issue and Incident Management Standard.

Minimal re-write or additional queries
Positive manager feedback
People Management
This is not a role with people management responsibilities. However, it is expected that this role will effectively monitor the workload performed by 20+ team members.

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
At least 3 years experience in a similar role
Experience working in a similar support role, monitoring team workload and measuring performance against set KPIs.
Experience working at a BPO reporting onshore.
Preferred Competencies/Skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (use of macros, pivot tables, formulas).
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to analyse and interpret data, identify trends or emerging patters, and present findings aligned with the team's key performance indicators to stakeholders
Ability to work independently, with limited direction and guidance, and provide appropriate coaching to other internal audit team members.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.
Keen attention to detail.
Experience in performing multiple projects and working with varying team members.
Adaptable to change and able to work in a high changing environment.
Preferred Knowledge
Demonstrated understanding of design and development of reporting tools and dashboards.
Good understanding of risk and internal control concepts, in particular relating to insurance business processes, BPO in general, and risk management.
