Understand the insurance process including prior authorizations, length of stay and discharge planning.
Review daily censuses for admissions, payer changes and discharges.
Review and submit clinical updates to the insurance daily via fax and portal.
Handle a high volume of incoming outgoing calls.
Respond to multiple emails and voicemails daily.
Participate in virtual Utilization Review Meetings.
Request highest level of reimbursement.
Monitor and communicate insurance deials such as NOMNC and end of service to patients
Request prior authorizations from the insurance.
Send appeal on denials.
Document all communications thoroughly throughout the day.
Navigate through preparatory software's and other web-based medical software's
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Friendly and good customer service skills
Knowledge in insurance verification and eligibility a plus
Basic Medical Terminology a plus
Healthcare experience a plus
Organized and strong attention to details
