Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology
Must be a Licensed Medical Technologist
With or without hospital experience
Job Summary:
The Medical Technologist is primarily responsible in performing complex tests on blood and body fluids to determine cause of disease.
He /She participates in all technical and administrative matters involving laboratory, performs laboratory works and ensures that the department is functioning based on existing standard operating procedures.
Handles the inventory of reagents and supplies of laboratory in the absence of the Senior Medical Technologist.
Performs microbiological analyses to process patients' specimens and derive at accurate results.
Responsible for the requisition of reagents, apparatus, and office supplies as needed by the Laboratory.
Occasionally receives requests and accurately charge accounts accordingly and releases results for both Inpatients and Outpatients in the absence of the Laboratory Clerk.
