Description
Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyzes samples of blood, tissue and body fluids to determine chemical content, cell count, drug levels or blood type.
• Assures compliance with safety, quality control and other regulatory standards such as Clinical Laboratory Improvement.
• Extract blood using venipuncture and capillary method.
• Manual counting of Complete Blood Count (CBC).
• Manual analysis in clinical microscopy.
• Examination of blood chemistry.
• Chemically analyzed blood urine for toxic components.
• Analyzes laboratory reports for accuracy.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
• Must be a Registered Medical Technologist
• Knowledge in manual cell counting
• Knowledge in basic operation of laboratory equipment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced working environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
