Position Summary:
Legal Receptionists are the gatekeepers of a law firm or legal department. They greet new clients and answering incoming calls. Since the receptionist is often the first person with whom clients and visitors interact, he or she is important to the image of the firm and must be polished, professional and articulate.
D*uties and Responsibilities*
Answering calls from existing clients and routing them to the right Case Managers or department
Receiving inquiries from prospective clients and transferring them to intake specialists
Receiving questions for CMs or attorneys and forwarding messages to the right POC
Managing firm's emails and main phone line
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities):
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in office administration, secretarial work, or customer service
Prior experience as a legal receptionist will be advantageous.
Familiarity with legal terms, legal documents, and filing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, use of soft phone systems
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with databases and online technological platforms Ability to learn easily and adapt to changes
Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible
Ability to handle conflicting time demands and focus on task completion with little direction or need for supervisory follow-up
Proficient command of the English language in both oral and written format
Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various backgrounds and professional competencies
