Are you an experienced and detail-oriented accountant with a passion for real estate? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are looking for a full-time real estate staff accountant to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing the financial data and reporting for our real estate properties and clients. You will also provide financial guidance and support to our management and staff.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in real estate accounting and bookkeeping
Proficiency in Quickbooks and Appfolio, or similar accounting and property management software
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and real estate industry standards
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
As a real estate staff accountant, you will:
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for real estate properties and clients
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Monitor cash flow and budget variances
Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance issues
Communicate with property managers, vendors, and clients
Maintain and update financial records and files
