Job Description
Play a crucial role in construction projects by managing costs related to building and civil engineering projects.
Conduct thorough cost estimation for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess costs.
Source materials and subcontractor services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.
Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms for the project.
Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, including terms and conditions related to cost, schedule, and quality.
Monitor contract performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
Implement cost control measures to monitor project expenditures against budgets.
Identify potential cost overruns or savings opportunities and propose corrective actions.
Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize project designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs.
Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize cost-related risks and ensure project success.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Civil) or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation within the construction industry.
Proficiency in cost estimation techniques, contract administration, and procurement processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the construction industry.
