This Job Requisition is for Civils / Architectural Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager, with minimum 10 years experience in the Industry. Candidate will be primarily based at Head Office, however site inspections will be required. Salary to include all associated costs with travelling to Office from home base.
Job Description as follows:
1. Provide effective support to the Project Team for Civil Architectural Commercial scope
2. Conduct site visits on active projects and pursuits as necessary.
3. Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
4. Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
5. Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
6. Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
7. Measure and value the work done on site.
8. Evaluate subcontractor billings
9. Manager the Jaeggaer Platform for the Core Business/ Coordinate training and registration of contractors & Service providers/ Coordinate with PDS Cost Manager(s) and Project Manager(s) in implementing Jaegger on our projects/admin duties on billings and invoices.
10. Take a proactive role in assisting the senior team members to deliver projects successfully.Present key Updates to the Client in the form of Reports and email communication
11. Assist on Key Meetings, and on behalf of the Project Management Team
12. Have Strong Commercial & Contractual Skills, and on behalf of the Project Management Team
13. Assist in contract administration, ensuring contracts with clients, consultants and suppliers are properly executed and maintained. Carry out contract administration of all vendors professionally and in accordance with legal requirements to protect commercial interests of client and JLL.
14. Develop Cost Reports etc
15. Vetting of Variation Claims with Contractor and Project Manager. Review and provide recommendations on variations. Collecting and vetting appropriate supporting documentation for submission to clients. Obtaining timely client approvals.
16. Site Inspections and Reporting
17. Be able to manage and give direction to the JLL Project Team on commercial and contractual aspects, and assurance on the quality & completeness of Reports issued
Give informative advice to the Client
18. Be Innovative, Professional and Role Model to the Team
19. Understand our obligations for complying with ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001 and Environmental Health and Safety Legislation generally.
20. Have strong ethical standards
21. Perform in the best interest of the Project
22. Be able to effectively support a project in the absence of the QS Cost Manager.
