Functional Overview Provides technical assistance and support to both quantity surveying and project cost management activities. Liasing with a variety of other teams and helping to keep a project cost on track. Duties and Responsibilities ESTIMATE and COSTING Develop and implement standard RFP and Bill of Cost & Material template applicable for office fit-out and renovation. Create and maintain Industry standard office fit-out costing, and Create and maintain historical data of KMC builds. PRE-PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION Facilitate project brief document in coordination with assigned Project Manager, Prepare quantity takeoff and costing for renovation project and fit out projects, Initiate sending Request for Proposal, Request for Inspection to accredited vendors/contractors, Liaising with Projects Team to identify client / requestor needs, Develop RFI's and clarifications to contractors/vendors, Review and evaluate BOM/Bid Documents/Vendor quotes for new office builds and office reconfigurations, Capable of communicating cost evaluation and technical reviews to client/management, Ensure bidders complies with KMC's Technical Design standard and set project brief, and Prepare tender documents and send out notice of award/rejection. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION Monitor and track approved Bill of Material of implemented project, Assist in Owner's Supplied Material procurement planning, Assists in reviewing project variation orders, Monitor, track, validate, and record variations, Site coordination and technical coordination, and Other task/s that is/are innately included in the position that the immediate head may assign from time to time. POST - PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION Preparation of post project review of cost and materials, Assist Project Manager in completing Post - Construction Compliance. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's / College Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or Equivalent Preferably one (1) to two (2) years of experience in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Capable of using AutoCad and Advanced in Microsoft Excel and MS Office software Exposed in any Quantity Surveying tool Minimum Competencies Knows how to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and CAD Files Knowledge in Office Fit-Out standards (MEPFS, FDAS, etc.) is a plus Assists in the assessment of vendor proposal/quotations Amenable in doing site visits when necessary Good communication skills and can coordinate effectively Has strong visual awareness and eye for detail Flexible, resourceful, and can work under pressure
