Position Title: Estimator (Quantity Take-Off Engineer or Quantity Surveyor)
Classification: Associate
Salary Grade: 25,000 - 30,000 Peso / month
Reports To: Account Manager, Client
Primary Relationships: Client, External Professional Associations / Suppliers
Date(s): September - October 2020
Background:
One of our clients in California is looking for an Estimator to help them with Quantity take-offs. You will collaborate directly with the owner of the company and their internal staff.
As an Estimator, you will help create proposals, tracking the costs of a project including materials and labor, understanding customer specifications, and proposing a final budget for a project. You will also present an analysis of information, including estimations, planning, and reporting research results.
Main Roles:
Estimating (developing quotations)
Research and analysis of materials and labor
Planning and reviewing
Schedule:
Must feel comfortable working U.S. business hours
Responsibilities:
Preparing quotes for a construction company
Understanding the scope requirements for each project
Review project plans and specifications
Prepare accurate tenders or quotations
Assist in the preparation subcontract and materials inquiries and review subsequent quotations
Monitor estimator quotation lists
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, applied science, mathematics, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
A minimum of 1-2 years in a BPO setting or equivalent professional experience
Experience using Xactimate software, On-Screen Take-Off, or Planswift software
MS Excel Experience
Interpersonal skills (strong verbal and written communication)
Ability to work independently
Good time management skills
Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Some leadership skills are needed such as previous team lead, supervisory, or management experience
Requirements
Minimum education level: Bachelor ́s Degree
