Position Description
Position Title: Quantity Surveyor
Classification: Associate
Salary Grade: 30,000 - 35,000 Peso / month
Reports To: Account Manager, Client
Primary Relationships: Client, External Professional Associations / Suppliers
Date(s): September - October 2020
Main Roles:
Live tender register updating
Log new tenders and review suitability with Senior Estimator
Complete pre-qualification documentation
Schedule:
Must feel comfortable working UK business hours
Responsibilities:
Develop and prioritize working relationships with clients, this is the key skill to every tender
Accurate measuring and production of bills and quantities using Bluebeam software
Preparation of bills for subcontract trades and suppliers
Sending sub contract inquiries and scrutinizing quotations
Identification of value engineering and understanding of risk analysis reports
Pricing of bills using estimating software and excel
Producing tender supplementary information including programs
Client tender presentations
Post tender negotiations, including measuring and pricing of variations
Send materials lists for pricing to procurement manager
Proof-read and expand BoQ's that are prepared by others
Attend weekly team meetings to review tenders
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, applied science, mathematics, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
A minimum of 1-2 years in a BPO setting or equivalent professional experience
Strong understanding of the construction industry including structural measurements, including the ground floor, bulk excavation, piling works, pile caps, lower ground floor (basement) slab, core walls, liner walls, columns, and ground floor slab.
Knowledge of Bluebeam software helpful
Familiarity with estimation software and Microsoft excel are required
Interpersonal skills (strong verbal and written communication)
Ability to work independently
Good time management skills
Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Additional requirements:
Must live within close proximity of Clark, Pampanga and have reliable transportation. This is an office based position.
