Basic Qualifications:
BS Civil Engineering graduate, preferably Registered.
Proficient in MS Office Applications.
With good interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
With a background in Land Development and High Rise Residential projects.
Can work under pressure and results-oriented.
Quantity Surveyor - CSA will be responsible for the following:
Assist in preparing realistic, adaptable, and accurate initial budget estimates and cash flow projections.
Assist in conducting quantity take-off and estimate on the various stages of the project, including, but not limited to, the following:
• Square Cost Estimate;
• Schematic Design Estimate;
• Conceptual Design Estimate;
• Design Development Estimate;
• Definitive Office Estimate;
• Detailed Bill of Quantities; and
• Value Engineering.
Assist and/or prepare financial analysis and cash flow projections on behalf (or in the absence) of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Assist in the preparation of bid packages and other bid documents needed in the bidding process.
Assist in the preparation of Invitation to Bid and Bid Bulletin
Assist during bid clarifications with bidders and preparation of financial bid evaluation report
Assist in the preparation of construction contracts
Assist and/or prepare Construction Cost Monitoring and maintain such to incorporate in the PM/CM project report at a monthly regular reporting to the Owner
Attend weekly project meetings with PM/CM/Consultants/Customer and Contractors on behalf (or in the absence) of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Represent the organization in bid conferences and other project meetings on behalf (or in the absence) of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Coordinate with contractors, review and evaluate contractors' project interim payment requests on behalf (or in the absence) of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Prepare the necessary documents for any project meetings on behalf (or in the absence) of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Prepare change order evaluations and submit the same to the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor for review.
Assist and/or prepare monthly QS reports to be incorporated in the PM Monthly Report to be submitted to the Project Owner, and propose work sequence and procedure beneficial to the progress of the report on behalf (or in the absence) of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Liaise, consult and communicate with Engineers, Architects, Owners, Contractors, and Subcontractors on any changes and/or adjustments to cost estimates through maintaining a directory of Project Consultants, Designers, and Owner's contacts and representatives.
Ensure that all relevant Work Instructions and the organization's Quality Management System are being followed in the preparation of all works being undertaken.
Exemplify qualities that would encourage staff loyalty, teamwork, and dedication to the organization.
Any other work or task as directed by the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
