Position Overview:
As a Quality Inspector for Receiving, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of incoming materials, components, and products. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, testing, and verifying items against established specifications and standards. You will collaborate closely with the procurement team and suppliers to maintain a high level of product quality and contribute to our commitment to delivering superior products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
· Perform thorough visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials, components, and products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
· Compare inspection results against defined criteria and escalate any discrepancies or non-conformities to relevant departments for resolution.
· Collaborate with the concerned team/department to communicate quality issues, rejections, and corrective actions to suppliers.
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality assurance documentation.
· Participate in root cause analysis and investigations of non-conforming materials to identify underlying causes and recommend corrective actions.
· Assist in developing and updating inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality standards as needed.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements to optimize quality control processes.
· Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing inspections and handling materials.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or certification in quality control or a related field is a plus.
· Detail-oriented with excellent observational and analytical skills.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting and communicating inspection results.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to quality improvement.
· Experience as a Quality Inspector is an advantage.
