The Opportunity
The Quality Engineer I shall ensure that the quality and performance of the Kumu app is continuously improved by performing software tests including, but not limited to regression testing, and ad-hoc testing for mobile, web, and APIs. This role will report to the QA lead or QA manager and will mostly work not only with the Technology team but also with other departments.
Responsibilities:
Understand features and functionalities of the Kumu app
Document and track software bugs and defects using bug tracking system JIRA
Work closely with other quality engineers, developers, technical leaders, and the project team to meet expected timeline and quality
Handle new features/chores/bug fix verification, new regression test cases, and type of testing such as sanity test, exploratory, out of the
box testing, backend testing, and automation testing
Plan test schedule, devices, and tools to ensure proper test scope is covered within the testing period
Participate in technical and non-technical trainings that are required for the role
We'd like it if you Are/Have:
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in software testing and development
Graduate of BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, BS Electrical and Communications Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, and the like
Ability to understand and adapt to SDLC, STLC, and Agile Methodologies
Good communication skills
Proficient in any computer OS (Windows/MacOS)
Able to do software tests in different browsers (IE, FF, Safari, Chrome, etc.) and any mobile OS (Android, iOS, etc.)
Proficient in Jira
Knowledge in Requirement Analysis
Can collaborate positively with teams of any size within or outside of their assigned division
Highly motivated, persistent, and focused on the goal and tasks at hand

Can work well and get things done within strict timelines
