Job Description 1. Performs shakedown/preliminary inspection on aircraft/engine, component, accessories & appliances to determine their state of preservation & detect any defect, malfunction or damage.
2. Performs in-process inspection on aircraft, engines and components undergoing repair, overhaul or alteration to assure compliance with governing specifications and procedures and with accepted quality standards and practices.
3. Accomplishes final inspection on aircraft as required by Customer to verify that a final visual check for completeness & functional check have been made and that all work and/or inspections performed or required to be performed have been signed for and that no known defects exist that would render aircraft, engine or component unairworthy.
4. Notes discrepancy and condition or operational malfunctioning for corrections, adjustments or repairs and screens defects and prescribes immediate correction on any discrepancy discovered during in process or final inspection.
5. Determines defects, unsatisfactory and unsafe condition present in aircraft and diagnoses their causes to identify areas or systems where corrective actions are necessary. Provides reference limitation if needed for defects or damage found on the aircraft
6. Performs inspection coverage during component changes, tests and adjustments on airframe and powerplant systems consistent with the quality standards.
7. Performs inspection coverage on modification, repair and alterations to satisfy manufacturer, customer and government regulatory specifications.
8. Reviews or signs off work accomplishment on all maintenance documents and accomplishes other forms or paperwork that may be needed in the performance of duties
9. In the event of unscheduled maintenance, endeavours to support operational requirement without violating rest and duty limitations.
10. To perform initial investigation, carry out root cause analysis and provide recommendation on events/occurrences during surveillance or customer related concerns.
11. Approves Return-to-Service of aircraft as per customer requirements
12. Assists customer, lessor, aviation authority personnel during their aircraft inspection /visit/audit.
13. Accomplishes Inspection / Technical Reports as well as deviation reports required in the APPC APM / Customer MCM
14. Initiates / Updates entries in Aircraft Dent & Damage Summary as required.
15. Complies with applicable regulatory and standards of APPC; actively involve with APPC Safety Management System by reporting all accident, incidents, and any hazard in the work place; and being safety conscious by exerting duty of care in the performance of duties.
16. Performs all safety responsibilities as required by the APPC Safety Management Manual
17. Performs other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor, Manager - Quality
Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Engineering
Holder of CAAP AMT/AMS license
Knowledge and understanding of the quality and safety management system, investigation process, aviation inspection techniques and Philippine Civil Aviation Regulations.
At least 2 aircraft type rating preferably A320, A330 and/or ATR
5 years minimum experience maintaining at least 1 class of aircraft serviced by Aplus
Compensation 40000
Compensation Range ₱30,000 - ₱50,000
