PHIL-UNION FROZEN FOODS, INC.
We are a seafood export manufacturing firm based in Mactan Economic Zone 1, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines. We manufacture pasteurized canned crabmeat, frozen tuna, block frozen shrimps, cooked sliced octopus, & other seafood products to US, Europe, and Asian markets.
We are in need of:
QA SUPERVISOR
Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Food Technology, BS Fisheries
With at least one (1) year of working experience in a food preferably manufacturing firm as supervisor
Knowledge of HACCP, BFAR Regulations, GFSI standard a plus, GMO's, SSOP
With Experience in External Audits of Food Safety requirements
Highly trainable and results-oriented
Meticulous, highly organizes, results oriented, and a team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong Communication and Negotiation skills
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
Attention to detail
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads in the implementation of HACCP Programs.
Conducts refresher orientations on GMPs & SSOPs to Production Workers every 3 months.
Responsible in the application, compliance, and monitoring of company Certification/ Accreditations and Regulatory Compliance.
Supervises the whole QA Department.
Recommends QA programs necessary for continuous improvement
Verifies/reviews regularly the Food Safety, Legality, and Quality Standards of the company in production and in documentation.
Supervises QA Officers and QC Inspectors.
Conducts random pre-processing inspection for the received raw materials.
Reviews reports of receiving inspection, mainline activities, weight checking report for packed products daily chlorination report, personal hygiene and sanitation.
Monitors records in processing time and temperature, In house verification report, in house calibration of weighing scale and temperature monitoring.
Conducts in-line inspection and random-checking of products in the shrimp production area.
Monitors daily processes and takes charge of making samples.
Supervises QC activities in Mainline, Receiving, Packing & Shipment/Loading inspection.
Reports to production team on the average body weight (ABW) and the color distribution of the received raw materials.
Evaluates performance of QC Inspectors under supervision.
Assists product evaluation of retain samples.
Reviews current work practices and identifies areas for improvement.
Checks the quality & accuracy of QC activities under his/her area of assignment.
