Responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing processes are performed correctly using the right tools, materials and processes.
Responsible for developing applying and maintaining quality requirements and standards for the manufacturing of products.
Responsible for providing statistical information for quality improvement.
Reviews all product quality aspects like planning, manufacturing methods and process specifications.
Develops and establish quality procedures and systems for inspection plans.
Develops and updates on regular basis quality control plans for assigned production lines.
Performs verifications of processes and ensures processes meet all requirements and reliability standards.
Performs machine qualification of new and or modified machine.
Creates protocol and generates report for the qualification of New or Modified Machine.
Executes internal calibration of assigned laboratory and production M&TE such as small digital weighing scales and calipers based on planned schedule.
Collaborates with Production in the deployment of on line statistical process control charting to ensure high process reliability by responsible shop floor operators.
Provides statistical analytical support for program such as process Optimizations, Certification Run Design of Experiment, etc.
Participates in the problem analysis of quality issues and complaints.
Conducts investigation on product complaints and collaborate with involved departments on activities (e.g. technical service on field or project site) in formulating corrective actions.
Provides support to ongoing Quality System needs surrounding material and product nonconformances, document change requests, CAR system, Supplier Corrective Action system, training and audits.
Conducts and/or participates on Measurement Systems Analysis activities to align test method to ensure that test results are accurate and precise in production and laboratories.
Develops and certifies Production personnel on bulk mix and finished goods testing and inspection via the Operator Self Inspection Program.
Engages in NPD activities such as witnessing production trial runs, product stability monitoring, and reporting of new product performance to NPD team members, Mancom members and other relevant departments.
Participates in the FMEA process of new and existing products and processes.
Provides support to the QA Vendor Management team in the qualification of alternative materials or suppliers.
Recommends materials or methods for process adjustments as needed.
Prepares and conducts quality trainings in line with the implementation of established Quality System of the company.
Develops and monitors scoreboards related to Quality Engineering and relevant quality, environmental and safety objectives.
Educates, guides, and instructs QA Technician in conducting assigned tasks relevant to quality assurance and control activities, laboratory practices and safety, resource management, and other requirements based on established policies, procedures, work instructions and applicable standards.
Collects and analyzes laboratory test results and physical inspection data of new and existing products and processes in the review and recommendation of generating new inspection procedure or methodology, or in modification or improvement of existing inspection procedure or methodology.
Coordinates with QA Vendor Management team and R&D regarding new and existing material and product specifications, and recommends adjustment on standards based on gathered inspection data.
Coordinates with Production, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain Leaders and other relevant departments regarding quality concerns.
Issues and controls generated technical documents (e.g. certifications, certificate of analysis, production check points, product profile, AQL, etc) as deemed necessary.
Follows safety procedures and use of required PPEs in performing the assigned tasks; understands the hazards of each chemical and equipment prior to use or handling.
Reports to and coordinates with QA Supervisor and QA Manager all information relevant to product quality, process control and improvement, health and safety, resource management, environmental management, continuous improvement, and other concerns based on company requirements and existing company policies and integrated management system.
VENDOR MANAGEMENT:
Perform job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the company.
Work in accordance with the documented quality, environmental and safety procedures and instructions.
Responsible for ensuring that supplied raw materials, packaging materials, intermediate products and tolled products are within PAI's standard specifications.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.
Carry out supplier validation audits to ensure conformance to processes.
Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards.
Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues.
Collate and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
Work with the supplier directly, create correction action plans to address process failures.
Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
Support the Quality Assurance Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance.
Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system.
Perform inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, packaging materials, intermediate products and tolled products based on incoming inspection matrix and standard testing methods.
Perform inspection and stability tests of alternative materials, intermediate products and tolled finished goods.
Evaluates quality of slow moving stocks upon receipt of Request for Quality Inspection (RFQI).
Generates Quality Inspection Reports (QIR) upon completion of RFQIs.
Develops and updates on regular basis quality control plan for incoming inspection process.
Develops and updates AQL per supplier and ensure suppliers alignment with it.
Develops and establish quality procedures and systems for inspection plans.
Participates in the problem analysis of quality issues and customer complaints concerning materials used.
Support ongoing Quality System needs surrounding nonconforming material, document change requests, CAR system, Supplier Corrective Action system, training and audits.
Conduct and/or participate on Measurement Systems Analysis activities to align test method to ensure that test results are accurate and precise in production and laboratories.
Participates in the FMEA process of new and existing products and processes.
Recommends materials or methods for process adjustments as needed.
Conducts quality trainings in line with the implementation of established Quality System of the company.
Develop and monitor scoreboards related to Vendor Management and relevant quality, environmental and safety objectives.
Closely coordinates with R&D regarding material and product specifications, and provides recommendations adjustment on standards based on gathered inspection data.
Support Non-conformance Reporting program including investigations, dispositions and communication with the customers.
Studies and recommends shelf life extension of materials and products based on evaluation results and historical data.
Together with R&D Chemist, evaluates first delivery of new materials, intermediate products and/or traded goods, from new or existing suppliers.
Inspects new private label or toll-manufactured products and blister-packed products by a third party based on the standard test procedures.
Provides disposition on the inspected materials and products based on standard specifications.
Evaluates quality of slow moving stocks upon receipt of Request for Quality Inspection (RFQI).
Monitors properties of batch retains and shelf life of traded products, and reports any quality concern or problem to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Follows safety procedures and use of required PPEs in performing the assigned tasks; understands the hazards of each chemical prior to use or handling.
Conducts performance appraisals, coaching and counseling to subordinate/s.
Undertake special projects as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities
Perform such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and / or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Graduate of B.S. Chemistry, B.S. Chemical Engineering or equivalent; preferably licensed
· At least 6 months experience in the laboratory
· Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing set-up an advantage
· Preferably with experience of working in quality assurance and/or supplier quality development
