Client: A US healthcare institution is currently looking for Quality Assurance Nurse for Wound Care Intake
Location: Remote (permanent work from home)
Type of Work: Full time
Work Hours: Mon - Fri, US time (EST)
Job Summary:
To ensure the overall delivery of services and maintenance of clinical care standards for affiliated facilities by performing clinical reviews. Ability to determine if the medical documentation supports the need for the services based on clinical criteria, coverage policies and utilization and evidence-based practice. Clinical Specialist is also responsible in overseeing and coordinating the clinical aspect of the intake department.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
Minimum of two to three years experiences in the clinical fields.
Wound certified preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Fast learner and quick processor
Proficient with computers and various software packages
Flexible, team player

Duties and Responsibility:
● Review providers' notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the care being provided, that they reflect the resident's response to the care.
● Review and interpret medical records and compare against criteria to determine appropriateness of care
● Provide concurrent review of the clinical documentation in the out EMR and Facility's EMR.
● Perform a thorough chart review to identify co-morbidities / complications and ensure that all relevant information is documented appropriately.
● Ensure accuracy of documentation and information given by the providers to the residents, and the facility staff.
● Review and interpret clinical outcomes / wound analysis of each affiliated facility.
● Oversee and coordinate the intake process and ensure all appropriate paperwork and data entry is completed and delivered in a timely, efficient manner.
● Serve on the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee as directed.
● Report problem areas and review concerns and issues of affiliated facility to the clinical team.
● Utilize monitoring tools to track the progress of the wounds, through interpretation of wound measurements, wound bed distribution, exposed structures, etc, monitoring reports and data. Ablity to identify areas of focus through report analysis
● Collect, analyze and document information and statistics related to wounds of facilities.
