The team that builds the Data & Insights solutions is looking for an experienced QA Analyst to help test and ensure quality that will enable the growth of the state reporting aspect of our product. Our growing QA team is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and maintaining well formulated and complete test scripts needed to successfully move features from development to our clients with confidence.
The strongest candidates will have a solid understanding of different test strategies, ability to document and communicate the results and has the client's experience and quality of the product as their top priority. By helping provide solutions that improve efficiency and increase quality you can help serve our citizens and make communities safer.
This QA Analyst roles involves developing, executing, and maintaining test plans for multiple regions of our software. You will work closely with developers, product analysts and scrum masters in an agile environment to ensure the quality of the product meets our client's expectations. This will include performing a range of types of tests such as, but not limited to, regression testing, functional testing, load testing, black/white box and aiding our automation team with their testing requirements. The code must be tested from a variety of user perspectives including some gathered from the clients directly.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, execute and maintain well formulated and complete test scripts.
Perform a variety of testing including but not limited to functional, regression, load, exploratory/heuristic and aiding in automation testing.
Consistently maintain a high level of activity and productivity.
Identify and document software defects in Jira and proactively communicate with internal stakeholders.
Organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements.
Determine sequence of activities needed to maintain a high efficiency workflow.

Continuously introduce newly gained knowledge and skills to the job and team.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Sciences, Management Information Science, or Business. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
Prior experience in software quality assurance required, Tyler software or related experience helpful.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills involving sound decision making and effective resolutions.
Solid understanding of QA testing methodologies and practices preferred.
Keen attention to detail.
Strong planning and organizational skills involving the ability to manage multiple work streams effectively.
Strong time management skills with proven track record of delivering successful results.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills involving the ability to communicate verbally and in writing technical and non-technical information.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Highly motivated and self-driven.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team.
Ability to maintain a test environment effectively with regards to products, tools, data, and related aspects.
